My name is Tricia Soulier and I am the proprietor of Pawsitive Approach Pet Services. Based out of Keswick, Ontario, we offer a wide range of pet services to help you and your pets enjoy your relationship to the fullest. When I was a little girl I saw the movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. To this day my favourite part of the movie is the scene where Snow White walks through the woods with animals all around her. She loved them all. They trusted and loved her as well. I am a lover of nature and all animals. My dream has always been to surround myself with wonderful animals, each one so individual and special.
When I was laid off from my position as a Computer Lab Facilitator in 2002, I did some soul searching, attending many seminars and workshops. Every direction took me to helping people and working with animals. What a perfect fit!
In my younger years my speech impediment was more severe and communication with other people could sometimes be challenging. I never had trouble communicating with animals though. We have a special bond and they bring me a special joy. I am passionate about my work and it shows in my efforts to customize my services to suit the individual needs of both you and your pets. My years of experience working on horse ranches enhanced my admiration for these beautiful creatures.
Continuing education is important to me when caring for your pets. Therefore I have completed two different Pet First Aid/CPR courses and actually researched the implications of pet waste for several months. Through PIJAC Canada's Certification Courses I have earned my certificates as a Canine Companion Specialist, Feline Companion Specialist, Avian Specialist and Small Animal Specialist have honed my skills in providing the best in pet care. I have over 20 years experience in providing care for varied pets and horses.
My volunteer work includes several rescue organizations such as the SPCA and the Georgina Animal Shelter. I have fostered pregnant and nursing cats, finding each one a good home to go to. The mom is staying with us. Seeking knowledge and understanding I enjoy working with and observing in action Animal Control, veterinary clinics, trainers, educators and groomers.
What's next? I will be taking an Anatomy and Physiology course this winter followed by Canine Massage Therapy.
Last and definitely not least, my dog Shendo. She is the love of my life. Shendo, short for Shenandoah Meadow, is a "multi-cultural" member of my family. She is my "little girl" and we've been together since she was only 2 days old. If it weren't for Shendo I would not be able to provide the services I do. It is her understanding and patience with me, and other pets that makes it all possible. Thanks Baby Girl. Glad you are having fun.
The name Pawsitive Approach Pet Services depicts exactly my outlook on pet care. I hope to have the opportunity to meet with you and your pets in the future.

Pet enthusiasts know that most animal companions adjust better to their owner's absence and experience less anxiety and stress when the can remain in their home environments. Pawsitive Approach Pet Services Inc. offers daily visits to your home or overnight stays while you are out of town. Pet Sitting is a very general term when considering the services offered by Pawsitive Approach. We provide in-home pet visits for any pet mini or mighty. We pride ourselves on our flexibility, providing customized care for our clients and pets to ensure the individual needs of each are met. While you are away we will care for both your pet(s) and home and will visit as many times a day as you request. We also offer overnight pet and house sitting services. Pawsitive Approach, with you will develop a pet care plan that meets the needs of your pet(s).

Pawsitive Approach strives to ensure that all the comforts available to the pet are provided. We cannot replace you while you are away but we do our best to fill the void until you return. When you arrive home you will be given a detailed journal outlining notable or fun events that occurred during your absence.
